Resolution on DEI
Recognizing that historical and contemporary discrimination still impacts higher education, we the members of the IBHE-FAC recommend that the IBHE continue to support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the recruitment, retention, and promotion of faculty and staff; and in the recruitment, retention, and education of students.
FAC Motion April 2026
Whereas the Illinois Board of Higher Education's (IBHE) proposed budget falls short of adequately meeting the needs of our higher education institutions, the Faculty Advisory Council to the IBHE recommends that the IBHE in its annual budget proposals each year, include a model-based funding estimate of the state expenditure that would be adequate for meeting the needs of higher education including student financial aid, community colleges, and public universities. This is a vital contribution that the IBHE can make to higher ed funding conversations.
Thank you IBHE FAC Chair Dan Hrozencik for your service!
